MAKING AN IMPACT

DOING OUR PART

Dr. Squatch has spent the past ten years giving the personal care industry a much-needed cleaning. Now we’re looking to help bring that same energy to helping those in need. Together with our partners, we’re working to help the broader community live happier and healthier lives by ensuring access to natural personal care products, clean water, and outdoor spaces.

OUR MISSION

Inspired by a mission to help educate and inspire men to be happier and healthier, our founder created Dr. Squatch. Even though our products are now enjoyed by millions, our mission stays the same. Now, our mission is the foundation of our philanthropic efforts too.

ECO-SOAP BANK

Our partnership with Eco-Soap Bank combats the lack of access to hygiene in underserved communities at home in the U.S. and across the world. Only 1% of households in impoverished regions have access to soap, making this a critical factor in fighting the spread of preventable diseases. Dr. Squatch repurposes soap scraps from our manufacturing facilities not just to reduce waste but to provide hygiene access to those in need. With the help of Eco-Soap Bank, we’ve donated more than 9.5 million bars and recycled over 2 million pounds of soap.

U.S. VETS

A happy and healthy life starts with access to a hot shower, clean housing and comprehensive support, and there’s nobody who deserves this more than America’s veterans. U.S. Vets is the leading nonprofit supporting veterans, working to ensure they transition safely and permanently out of homelessness. Approximately 38,000 veterans are experiencing homelessness in the United States.

YOSEMITE CLIMBING ASSOCIATION

Natural products start with keeping our environment and public lands healthy. Dr. Squatch has partnered with a group close to its heart by supporting The Yosemite Climbing Association. The YCA focuses on the preservation of climbing history and community stewardship in nature by hosting clean-up events across the U.S. in local parks and open spaces. Launched almost 20 years ago, the YCA has quickly become the nation’s most beloved volunteer cleanup, ensuring that our natural world stays safe, beautiful, and clean.

OUTDOOR OUTREACH

As a part of our partnership with photographer Chris Burkard, Dr. Squatch is supporting Outdoor Outreach, a San Diego-based non-profit that provides youth from under-resourced communities with outdoor activities to boost their confidence and leadership skills. For every purchase of Chris’ bar, we’re donating $1 to support their mission of empowering youth to explore the outdoors. By supporting Outdoor Outreach, we hope to inspire a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts and environmental stewards.

ACHIEVING B-CORP STATUS

We’re not just stopping at significant philanthropic efforts either, we’re going the extra mile by becoming a certified B Corp. Certified B Corps are verified by B Lab, a global nonprofit, that ensures businesses meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency and accountability, all while balancing purpose and profit.

SOAP SCRAP

With Eco-Soap Bank, Dr Squatch has donated 9,645,882 soap bars to date, keeping excess product out of landfills and turning it into clean hygiene for those who need it the most. As we grow, this impact will only increase.

EMPLOYEE & CUSTOMER CAUSES

Using a combination of cash and in-kind donations, Dr. Squatch is working hard to support our community by giving to causes they care about. In fact, we’ve donated to 117 different causes chosen by customers and employees.

IN-KIND DONATION

People love our soap, and we know how to make a top-notch personal care product. That’s why we donated over 186,000 products to like-minded charities that support our broader mission to help people live happier and healthier.

RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION

A big part of making natural soap is substituting synthetic ingredients for natural alternatives. That’s why we’ve committed to only using sustainable, RSPO-certified Palm Oil in our soaps. Excessive palm oil harvesting can cause deforestation of biodiverse forests and the destruction of natural habitats. By using RSPO-certified Palm Oil, Dr. Squatch has positioned itself as part of the solution.

PEOPLE

A happy product starts with a happy employee. That’s why we’re proud to support our workers and become a certified Great Place To Work for the second year in a row.
